Mark your calendar: Devils’ Crest premieres worldwide on Amazon Prime Video on November 6, 2026. The series is the anime adaptation of Reki Kawahara’s action-fantasy light novel — Kawahara is the creator of Sword Art Online — and it is produced by Production I.G, with Kenichiro Komaya directing and Shinji Ushiro as chief director. Eiji Umehara handles series composition, and Yukiko Horiguchi, the light novel’s original illustrator, designs the characters.

The story centers on Yuma Ashihara and his classmates, who sign up to test Actual Magic, the world’s first full-dive VRMMO-RPG. The test play goes wrong in the worst way: the game world and reality begin to merge, and the students are trapped in a fight to survive in a new world they cannot log out of.

The second promotional video, released October 2, 2026, expanded the cast with Atsushi Tamaru as Shin Haizaki and Ayumu Murase as Kakeru Niki, and revealed Soala’s ending theme, “ReaL.” The opening theme is “Shinka” (Evolution), performed by Ado.

The core cast includes Haruka Shiraishi as Yuma Ashihara and Konomi Inagaki as Sawa Ashihara, alongside Yuya Hirose as Kenji Kondo and Satomi Amano as Minagi Sano.
