Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War reached its end on Monday, October 26, 2026, with episode 50, “DEATH & STRAWBERRY,” streaming at 11:30am ET (8:30am PT) on Hulu in the US, Disney+ internationally, and Netflix in select Asian regions.
The title is a full-circle callback to “Death and the Strawberry,” the very first chapter of Tite Kubo’s manga — a fitting choice for the anime’s final episode, more than two decades after the original series began in 2004.
The finale closed out The Calamity, the fourth and final cour of the Thousand-Year Blood War adaptation, which began in 2022 and brought Kubo’s concluding manga arc to animation. The final two episodes were delayed to allow additional production time as the series approached its climax, with episode 49 arriving October 19 and the finale following on October 26.
The episode’s synopsis jumped forward in time: ten years have passed since the battle known as the Thousand-Year Blood War. The Seireitei, reduced to scorched earth in the fierce battle against Yhwach, has gradually been rebuilt and regained its peace. On the day construction of the final reconstruction district is completed, a new captain is about to be appointed to the Gotei 13 — and just as the inauguration ceremony takes place under a clear blue sky, the Department of Research and Development detects an ominous spiritual pressure.
For fans still catching up, the English dub will arrive later: the final two dubbed episodes are scheduled for November 23 and November 30.
The story doesn’t end with episode 50, either. BLEACH: Mirrors High, a mobile game with an original story set after the Thousand-Year Blood War and five new Soul Reapers designed by Tite Kubo himself — Shirin Migishima, Shirane Sanari, Naru Jurinna, Giro Hando, and Maiko Tokishima — is set to launch in November 2026, with pre-registration open and over 1 million pre-registrations already counted. The Japanese App Store lists November 28 as the expected date, though Bandai Namco has not formally confirmed a global launch day. So the anime has ended, but the Soul Society doesn’t.
After four years, four cours, and a 22-year journey from the original series to this finale, Ichigo’s final battle with Yhwach is done. The question is the one every longtime fan is asking themselves now.
Ready for the end of an era, or still catching up?
